- Select Convert to JPG and check the preview and file sizes.
- Download the JPG file.
Supported files and limits
- Input: one PNG image up to 25 MB and 50 megapixels.
- Output: a JPG image with the same width and height.
- Metadata such as camera details and location is not kept in the JPG file.
Transparency
- JPG does not support transparency.
- Transparent areas are filled with white or black, whichever you choose.
- If you need to keep transparency, keep the file as PNG or use WebP.
Quality and file size
- Lower quality gives a smaller file but can make edges and text look softer.
- Screenshots and graphics with sharp text can look worse as JPG than as PNG.
- A JPG is usually smaller than the PNG it came from, especially for photos.
Privacy
- Your image is processed in your browser. It is not uploaded to a server.
- No account is required.
Troubleshooting
- If the image does not open, make sure it is a valid PNG file.
- If the background looks wrong, convert again with the other background colour.
- For very large images, your browser may run out of memory. Resize the image first and try again.
