How to use
- Enter the exact network name (SSID). It is case sensitive.
- Choose the security type. Most home and office networks use WPA / WPA2 / WPA3.
- Enter the password, or choose None for an open network. Tick the hidden option only if your network does not broadcast its name.
- Download the QR code as PNG or SVG and test it with a phone before printing.
Supported input and limits
- Network names up to 32 characters.
- WPA passwords must be 8 to 63 characters long.
- Special characters in the name or password are handled automatically.
- Most current Android phones and iPhones can join a network by scanning with the camera.
- Optional logo: you can place your own logo in the center of the QR code. Logos can be PNG, JPG or WebP files up to 2 MB. When a logo is added, error correction is set to High automatically and the logo size can be set between 10 and 25 percent of the code.
Privacy and safety
- The QR code is generated in your browser from the details you enter.
- The password is stored inside the QR code as plain text. Anyone who can see or scan the code can read it.
- Share the code only with people who should have network access. Change your Wi-Fi password if the code reaches the wrong people.
- If you add a logo, it is also used only in your browser.
Troubleshooting
- If the phone does not join, check the name and password for typing mistakes, including capital letters.
- Choose the same security type that your router uses. If you are unsure, check the router settings.
- If the code does not scan, increase the size or raise the error correction level.
- Use a dark code color on a light background.
- If a code with a logo does not scan, make the logo smaller or remove it, then test the code again with a phone.
